Raymond MasonRaymond Mason is a brass multi-instrumentalist from Long Island, NY and current trombonist of Antibalas.  Since graduating from NYU in 2012, he has quickly established himself in NYC performing with GRAMMY® Award winning trumpeter Brian Lynch, SNL Music Director Lenny Pickett, Miles Davis bassist Michael Henderson, the Mingus Big Band, Deer Tick, and Weezer, to name a few.  Ray also played trombone/keys on the most recent touring production of FELA! The Musical. Through his work with Antibalas and the Antibalas Horns, Ray has played with bands such as My Morning Jacket, Nile Rodgers and Chic, The String Cheese Incident, Cage The Elephant, and more.

Ray also plays in EMEFE, a 10-piece afro-rock band with Antibalas' drummer Miles Arntzen, and is well studied in the traditions of New Orleans brass band music, frequently playing with The High and Mighty Brass Band.  One can find Ray in New York City freelancing in all genres on trombone, tuba, trumpet, and euphonium.
